Clothing: Wear something comfortable, stretchable, and form-fitting like leggings, shorts, or a fitted top. Choose an outfit that makes you feel confident and allows freedom of movement. This will help you perform the moves better and allow the instructor to give useful corrections.
Heels: Dance-specific heels are required. If you don’t have proper heels yet, you can wear socks for the first few classes, but regular street heels are not allowed. Dance heels provide the right balance, ankle support, and flexibility for moving safely.
Recommended Heels:
Professional Option: I recommend Burju dance shoes for their comfort and ankle support. They feature an open toe and a laced-up design, perfect for stability. You can purchase them here: Burju Dance Shoes and use the discount code “OlgaV” at checkout.
Affordable Option: A more budget-friendly option can be found on Amazon. Just make sure they don’t have black rubber soles, as these can mark the studio floor and are not allowed.
Kneepads: For added protection during floor work, regular kneepads are highly recommended. Choose soft kneepads without any hard parts to ensure comfort and safety.
